The third installment of French Press Fridays was in full effect last week, and we couldn't be more thrilled. We don't often get to have clients, friends, and crew dancing together while finishing fridgefuls of beverages. Folks from Swirl were in the building. Producers from The Gap have stopped by. Cinematographers are battling Gaffers on the ping pong table. It's been surreal.
But hopefully one day we'll throw a party like Hot Studio. After 15 years, Hot is moving on to a little company called Facebook. Saturday marked their "1st Annual Farewell Bash", complete with drag queens, trapeze acts, a tamale bar, and a room full of humble, creative people.
This week we also attended Transmedia's "Platforms of Tomorrow" meetup, where we talked with incredible folks from AKQA, Walmart, and Propane Studio about cross-platform advertising. The event was held in the SF School of Digital Film, right in the HUB SF building. They even handed us pizza and beer when we walked in the door. It's like they knew we were coming.
Okay, okay. Back to work. If you need us, we'll be in our new brainstorming chamber...
